Creating assets

NorfelloCMMS is based on assets. Every work order, report and attachment in the system is associated to an asset. To keep it simple, lets assume that your main asset is the house you live in. The hierarchy could look something like this:

To create this hierarchy in NorfelloCMMS you have to:

• Log in. If you just installed the software you should be able to login with the user "admin" and password "admin".

• Click "Create sub-asset" http://cmms.norfello.com/cmms/attachment/wiki/CreatingAssets/2.png?format=raw button.
• Enter the requested information
  • Code: This is a "Short code" used to specify the asset in the hierarchy and through out the whole software.
  • Name:
  • Type: not required. Different asset types can be created in the configuration.
  • Description: This can contain text and MarkupLanguage links to reports, attachments and work orders.

• Click "Add asset" and select your asset under the asset tree
